Matt is the Executive Director of Fintech71 and Managing Director of Lumos Innovation, where he helps companies (big and small) develop their ideas into highly scalable businesses.

Matt is a founding partner in ROOT Insurance and was previously the CEO and co-founder of Sprout it, a DIY gardening app which sold to Scotts Miracle Gro.  Prior to that Matt successfully started and sold MobileWait, a guest management solution for restaurants, as CEO and co-founder.  In addition, Matt has been a Director at Fair Isaac and Experian with a focus on digital marketing, big data and predictive analytics, business development and strategic partnerships.

Matt is a serial entrepreneur and angel investor having leadership roles in start-ups and Fortune 500 companies all over the Midwest, including Ohio, Minnesota, Wisconsin and Illinois; often times with global responsibilities. His strategic vision and hands-on experience in vast functional business disciplines aides our innovative enterprise and start-up clients and provides first hand insights on how to successfully conceive, build, fund and grow a technology company. He knows, first hand, the importance of getting to market quickly, leveraging creative sales channels and relationships; and having an agile, iterative development cycle at every stage of a company’s trajectory.
